ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

After a turbulent year, Ocean Resort Casino Atlantic City is changing its name and reinventing the casino's logo.

On Wednesday, April 10th, officials announced that the resort will now be called Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City.

The new branding will focus on the gambling aspect of the casino.

A Facebook post explains that the new logo is a step into the future for the casino.

"The new Ocean Casino Resort logo reflects the approachability of the brand, the casual elegance of the property and the constant movement towards the future."

According to 6abc.com, the casino is expected to reveal a new website next month.

Bruce Deifik, 64, bought the former Revel Casino last year for $200 million from Florida developer Glenn Straub, after the casino was closed due to bankruptcy in 2014.

It was announced in January of this year that the New York hedge fund, Luxor Capital Group, would take ownership of Ocean Resort Casino from Deifik, who recently passed away in Colorado earlier this week.
