Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Camden

Authorities in Camden County are investigating the deadly shooting of a 22-year-old man in Camden last night.

Police say officers with the Camden County Police Department responded to the intersection of Wayne Avenue and North 24th Street in Camden at around 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13th, for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived they found 22-year-old Everardo Alegre-Cortes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
