CAMDEN, N.J. -

The Cooper's Ferry Partnership has received new funding to bring a youth circus squad to the city of Camden.

The National Endowment for the Arts has announced it has awarded a Challenge America Grant of $10,000 to Cooper’s Ferry Partnership to host guest artists, The Trenton Circus Squad, in a big top on the Camden Waterfront for a week of daytime workshops and free evening youth-circus spectaculars for Camden youth and families.

Challenge America grants support projects that extend the reach of the arts to underserved populations — those whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by geography, ethnicity, economics, or disability.

Officials say they are excited to bring the Trenton Circus Squad back to Camden, adding it inspires kids and kids at heart to achieve new heights.
