OCEAN CITY, N.J. -

Health officials in Cape May County say they have confirmed a single case of Hepatitis A in the area.

The Cape May County Health Department, in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Health, announced that they have confirmed a single case of Hepatitis A in an employee at the Dunkin’ Donuts on West Avenue in Ocean City.

Officials say the employee worked while they were potentially infectious between Sunday, January 27th and Thursday, January 31st.

They added that while the risk of people who ate or drank beverages there during that time period is low, the health department is recommending that they receive a post-exposure vaccine before Thursday, February 14th.

The management of Dunkin' is cooperating with sanitary procedures and the investigation and has been cleared to reopen.
