Officials Advise Pet Owners of Responsible Care During Extreme Cold Weather

Last Edited:
SOUTH JERSEY -

While we may remember to make sure we're bundled up, we sometimes forget about how the cold affects our furry family members.

Officials are reminding pet owners to bring their pets inside and are properly protected from the cold.

They are also advising dog owners to be mindful of rock salts while walking their pup as that can be harmful to their paws.

Cold temperatures often cause stray cats looking for warmth to hide in your car, so be sure to knock on the hood of your vehicle before starting it.

And if you see any animals in distress contact your local police department.
