ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

On March 14, Atlantic Cape Community College will hold its 36th annual Restaurant Gala event at the Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City. The formal event will not only feature food prepared by the students and alumni of the Academy of Culinary Arts, but also the chance to win up to $15,000 in prizes.

The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation is sponsoring a 50/50 raffle to raise money for the emergency fund for students with unforeseen financial needs. Three lucky winners will split half of the money raised by the 300 available raffle tickets, being sold at $100 each. This event and raffle has raised $3.5 million for student scholarships over the past 36 years.

Raffle tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased from Kristin Jackson at 609-463-3621 or kjackson@atlantic.edu.

In related news, Atlantic Cape Community College is accepting scholarship applications until February 8, 2019.

Last year, Atlantic Cape awarded more than $628,000 in scholarships. There are more than 100 different scholarships for a variety of majors, interests, residency requirements and veteran status, and financial need is not a requirement to be considered for any of the scholarships.

The application for all of the scholarships Atlantic Cape has to offer can be found online. Requirements vary by the scholarship in which you are applying for, and some may require an essay or a letter of recommendation.

Scholarship recipients will be notified in April and are invited to attend Atlantic Cape’s Scholarship Recognition Ceremony on May 21st.
