South Jersey Wineries Bring Home 21 Medals in Wine Competition

South Jersey wineries won big at the largest competition for American wines.

Members of the Southern New Jersey's Outer Coastal Plain Vineyard Association brought home 21 medals from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

Of the wineries in the association that won, Bellview Winery and Sharrott Winery took home several medals each for a variety of their signature wines.

The big winner of the night was Bellview, which took home Best of Class.

The competition’s 64 professional judges received nearly 6,800 entries from more than 1,100 wineries spanning North America this year, with New Jersey wines winning 36 overall total awards.
