OceanFirst Bank Offering Mortgage Relief Program for Those Affected by Partial Government Shutdown

An area bank is lending a helping hand to those affected by the partial government shutdown.

OceanFirst Bank announced that a mortgage relief program is now available for their borrowers and businesses affected by the shutdown.

They are offering a forbearance or temporary suspension of mortgage and home equity loan payments for up to 90 days to assist borrowers whose income is affected by the shutdown and are unable to make their monthly payments.

During this time no loan fees will be assessed, and no additional interest will accrue.

Borrowers wishing to participate in the mortgage relief program must contact OceanFirst Bank and apply.
