Christmas Trees Bring Joy to Rescued Goats

MILLVILLE, N.J. -

What better way to dispose of your fresh Christmas tree than to give it to goats in need.

The 14 rescued goats and their friends at Millville's Pampered Pup Luxury Resort love to play with donated Christmas trees.

The goats, alpacas, and even pigs love to play and eat the trees, giving them a special post-holiday treat.

"It's just fun, we use the trees after they're eaten to provide a natural habitat for the animals in the woods like the little critters help the food chain as well," said Danielle Ford, owner of Pampered Pup Luxury Pet Resort.

The Pampered Pup is accepting donated trees at their location at 2709 Mays Landing Road in Millville, seven days a week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

You can even join in the fun and help give your tree to the goats yourself if you want to.
