Atlantic City Police Investigate Fatal New Year's Day Shooting

Atlantic County authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in Atlantic City on New Year's Day.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says on Tuesday, January 1st, at around 6:30 p.m., officers with the Atlantic City Police Department were called to the intersection of Lincoln and Ohio avenues for a car accident involving a vehicle rolling through an intersection and stopping in the roadway.

When officers arrived to the scene they discovered a man inside the vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
