Atlantic County Family Receives Free New Heater from Comfort Now

SOMERS POINT, N.J. -

Thanks to a local heating and cooling company, one Atlantic County family doesn't need to worry about trying to stay warm this winter.

Back in September, Comfort Now by Bob McAllister launched their Ugliest Heater Contest, and after reviewing of all the great submissions, five finalists were chosen and voted on by the public.

From there it was announced the winner was Eileen Cubberley of Somers Point.

Her family had been living without a working heater for two years, relying on several small space heaters to keep warm.

Now thanks to McAllister and his team, the family can live a little comfier.

"It's not all roses out there, people struggle and they can't always have things that they want, but [these are] basics, they didn't have heat and so we know that happens, so we like to do what we can to help other members of the community," said McAllister.

"For once, for something for this year, something was going to turn out and we needed a heater we really did and I was just so grateful for that," said Cubberley.
