VINELAND, N.J. -

Some local elementary school students helped spread some holiday cheer for their winter break.

Students and staff from D'Ippolito Elementary School in Vineland recently donated dozens of teddy bears, wrapped with bows and ribbons, to the Pediatrics Department of Inspira Medical Center Vineland for children hospitalized during the holidays.

The students even made more than 80 get well cards to be given out along with the bears.

The project was part of the school's Character Education Program known as BRAVO, or Be Respectful And Value Others.

Inspira officials say the kindness of these generous students will help bring comfort and smiles to the children they care for in their hospital.
