Yet another health system in our area has announced it will be drastically raising its minimum wage in 2019.
Virtua announced it will be raising its minimum wage for all Virtua Health employees to $15.15 an hour effective January 2019.
The decision will increase wages for 900 to 1,000 individuals, including full-time, part-time, and per-diem employees.
Officials say they hope this move will send a clear message that they care about their valued employees.
