Greener Fields Together Holds Farming Seminar in Vineland

VINELAND, N.J. -

An event was held in Vineland to help bring the produce industry together to learn from each other.

On the morning of Tuesday, December 4th, Greener Fields Together held a farming seminar at Seashore Fruit and Produce Company in Vineland to bring all the different players in the produce industry together.

The goal of the event was to get the group talking about ways they can help each other and improve the overall process.

Officials say the seminar is a great opportunity for local farmers to learn what resources are out there to help get their products from the farm to the table.

"The produce supply chain is really complicated — it's really long. There are a lot of different pieces, so it's difficult to get people together like this and it's so important to hear the resources that are available from all of these different sources and for farmers to be able to know that they exist to support them," said Tori Wong, Northeast sustainability coordinator of Greener Fields Together.
