EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. -

Law enforcement officials throughout Atlantic County grabbed their shopping carts this weekend to bring holiday cheer to kids in need.

On Saturday, December 1st, Atlantic County-area police departments and the Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League came together for the eighth annual Shop with a Cop event.

The program allows officers to brighten up the holidays for more than 120 local kids by taking them down the aisles of Walmart to do a little holiday shopping.

The kids got to pick out a few items on their wish list and enjoy a tasty breakfast from Chick-fil-A.

Officials say the event is a great way to bring police officers and the communities they serve closer together.
