Massive Fire Severely Damages Three Homes in Sea Isle City

A large fire burned through several homes at the Jersey shore on Thursday, November 29th.

Cape May County officials are investigating a large fire that burned through several Jersey shore homes, on Thursday, November 29th, causing three injuries, and leading to the search for an elderly woman still missing.

Authorities say the massive fire in Sea Isle City has severely damaged at least three homes, and injured three people.

The fire at Landis Avenue and 54th Street broke out shortly before noon, sending large plumes of thick, black smoke into the air.

Authorities believe the fire started in a home and soon spread to two duplexes, which are about two blocks from the ocean.

The home where the blaze started was destroyed, while the other structures were severely damaged.

Officials say three people were hurt and two were taken to the hospital for treatment. 

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
