BLACKWOOD, N.J. -

After all the Thanksgiving leftovers are packed away, thousands of area residents reach for their wallets and purses and head our the door to shop til they drop.

Malls and shopping centers throughout South Jersey were packed from the early morning hours with holidays shoppers hoping to snag some Black Friday deals.

Things were no different at the Gloucester Premium Outlets where they are offering extended holiday hours, giving shoppers plenty of time to score their discounts.

Officials say based off of what they saw today, they're expecting a busy holiday shopping season.

"We're expecting traffic growth that we've seen all year to continue through the holiday season," said Director of Marketing of Gloucester Premium Outlets, Christine Glasser. "There's a lot of shoppers today, a lot of bags and this is a good indication of a busy season."

And for those not willing to venture out into the crowds, many retailers are also offering Black Friday deals online.

Adobe Analytics, which analyzes visits to retail websites, predicts a 15 percent increase in online sales this year.
