PENNSVILLE, N.J. -

Motorists who travel on the Delaware Memorial Bridge during the overnight hours should be prepared for several lane closures.

Beginning on Monday, October 15th, the Delaware River and Bay Authority's contractor will be working to repair an expansion joint on the twin spans of the Delaware Memorial Bridge during the nighttime hours for a three-day period.

Construction work will begin each night at 8 p.m., and all lanes are expected to reopen each day by 5 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays during the construction time period, particularly during the rolling road closure.

Travelers are urged to be careful and stay alert in and around construction zones, obey all posted speed limit signs, and add some additional time to reach their final destination.
