Recovery Centers of America at Lighthouse Expands

A local recovery center is expanding to provide more services to people struggling with addiction in our area.

On the afternoon of Thursday, September 27th, the Recovery Centers of America (RCA) at Lighthouse held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially mark the opening of their newly expanded facility.

The expansion doubles the addiction treatment center from 53 beds to 133 beds.

Officials say the additional space will allow RCA to treat more people in the South Jersey community, while also allowing for clinical programming to be expanded to meet the needs of various groups.

"We are really, really looking forward ... to expanding everything that we offer, being able to help more people because we've really seen a need as we've been here so these expansions been a long time coming," said Corey Richey, director of admissions of Recovery Centers of America at Lighthouse.

Following the ribbon cutting was an open house, which gave members of the community a chance to see the new changes, as well as talk with treatment experts.

The event also included free Narcan training.
