VINELAND, N.J. -

The FIRST Tech Challenge New Jersey Autumn Outreach Scrimmage will take place Saturday, September 22, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. inside the Student Center gymnasium at Cumberland County College.

FIRST Tech Challenge New Jersey and South Jersey Robotics have partnered to bring an Autumn Outreach Scrimmage to Cumberland’s campus.

The event is designed to help new and prospective robotics team members experience what it’s like to prepare for and participate in a real competition.

During the morning session, student attendees will be organized into teams and, with assistance from veteran robotics team members, will adapt a training robot that will be used to compete in the scrimmage.

After lunch, the newbies will drive their training bots as they challenge the seasoned veterans, who will drive their tournament bots, in a friendly scrimmage.
