A historic lighthouse in South Jersey is ready to once again open its doors to the public.
After being closed for over two years for painting and repairs, the Tinicum Rear Range Lighthouse in Paulsboro is finally ready to welcome the public.
On Sunday, September 16th, the lighthouse will have a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially reopen the historic Paulsboro Lighthouse.
Officials say it is exciting to see such an important piece of South Jersey history come back to life.
"Just seeing people come from all over the world to see our little lighthouse, it's just mind-boggling to see tourists coming to Paulsboro," said Marc Kamp, president of Tinicum Rear Range Lighthouse Society.
