Ocean Resort Offering Free Rooms to Hurricane Florence Evacuees

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

An Atlantic City casino property is offering support to those fleeing the path of Hurricane Florence.

Ocean Resort Casino officials say they will be offering free accommodations to anyone forced to evacuate from their homes until the hurricane passes.

People must show identification proving they live in an area endangered by the storm.

However, Ocean Resort officials are saying that area is being defined liberally and all reasonable requests for shelter will be accepted as long as rooms remain available.

Georgia, Virginia and North and South Carolina have declared States of Emergency as they prepare for the powerful storm to make landfall.
