Morning Truck Accident Closes Roads in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. -

A truck accident Thursday morning caused a few headaches on the roadways for commuters in Atlantic County.

The accident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 9th, and led to road closures in Pleasantville.

Route 9 in the vicinity of the Atlantic City Expressway Overpass was closed causing traffic backups eastbound on the Expressway throughout the morning.

Emergency crews also closed a portion of Fire Road between Washington Avenue and Delilah Road as a result of the accident, sending drivers on detours around the area.

As of 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Fire Road has been re-opened. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the other roadway areas.
