Camden County Officers Shot, Suspects Sought

The search continues in Camden County for two suspects after what's being described as an ambush has left two police officers injured.

On Tuesday, August 7th, at around 8:30 p.m., two Camden County Metro Police Detectives were sitting in their unmarked vehicle at a red light at the intersection of Broadway and Walnut Streets in Camden when two unidentified men opened fire at them.

Authorities say the suspects fired several rounds at the officers, striking them.

Both detectives, whose identities have not been released at this time, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Both suspects remain at large at this time, and officials are urging anyone with any information on the shooting or the suspects to call the Camden County Prosecutor's Office at 856-225-8569.
