CAPE MAY, N.J. -

Off the coast of Cape May this weekend, seven people found themselves aboard a sinking boat, but luckily for them, help was nearby.

On Saturday, August 4th, officials with the United States Coast Guard say they received a distress call from the boat, The Beach Runner, around 9 a.m.

There were seven people on board the boat, which was rapidly taking on water.

Two boats, The Miss Addison and The Porgy 4 were nearby and rushed to help after hearing the Coast Guard's urgent marine information broadcast.

The crew aboard The Miss Addison pulled all seven people from The Beach Runner as the boat sank and brought them to shore safely.
