WILDWOOD CREST, N.J. -

This weekend's beautiful weather made for a couple of perfect days to play in the sand.

But those competing in Wildwood Crest's sixth annual Sand Sculpting Festival took their sand playing very seriously.

Representatives with Can You Dig It Sand Tools hosted the sculpting contest on Saturday, July 7th, along with members with the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department.

Professional sand sculptor Matt Long helped out about 35 teams of sculptors as they competed in various categories watched by thousands of spectators.

The impressive designs are all winners in our book.
