CAMDEN, N.J. -

Officials in Camden celebrated moving one step closer to the grand opening of new office headquarters in the city.

On Tuesday, June 12th, state and local officials gathered in Camden to celebrate the topping off of the new Waterfront Headquarters for New Jersey companies Conner Strong & Buckelew, NFI, and the Michaels Organization.

The new office tower is part of the Camden Waterfront Development by Liberty Property Trust and officials say it will help play a role in the revitalization of the city of Camden.

"We're gathering here to lift the beam at the Camden Tower that's bringing three or four big companies that are moving into the city and this is evidence that Camden is absolutely rising," said Camden Mayor Frank Moran.

The three companies that will be operating out of the new building will contribute to bringing nearly 1,000 jobs to the area and boosting the local economy.
