Atlantic County to Help Feed Seniors with Produce Voucher Program

Starting in July, senior citizens living in Atlantic County may be eligible to receive $25 worth of produce vouchers.

Beginning on Wednesday, July 11th, officials with the Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services will once again be distributing farm fresh produce vouchers to low-income seniors in the county.

Vouchers are on a first come, first serve basis.

To be eligible, residents must be 60 years or older with an annual income that does not exceed about $1,800 a month or $22,000 annually for one person.

After meeting the necessary requirements, residents will receive five, $5 vouchers per person to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables from participating farmers markets.
