Washington Twp. Police Rescue Ducklings from Sewage Drain

Last Edited:
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -

Things got pretty intense for a local officer who sprang into action to save some unlikely South Jersey residents.

OK, so maybe it wasn't that intense, but it sure was no quacking matter when two police officers with the Washington Township Police Department came to the rescue of some little ducklings stuck in a sewage drain.

Body camera footage showed the moment one of the officers climbed down into the drain and pulled out five baby ducks.

Thanks to the officers' bravery, the little fellas are safely back home where they belong.
