WILDWOOD, N.J. -

Local veterans had the opportunity to learn how to start and grow their own business.

On Wednesday, June 6th, officials with the American Legion, in partnership with the United States Small Business Administration and Stockton University, held a Boots to Business workshop to help veterans and their spouses.

The free training program provides veterans with the information and resources they need to learn how to start their own business.

Officials say the program is their way of saying thank you to those who serve and making sure they have what they need to succeed as they transition back into their communities.

The Boots to Business workshop is one of the many featured resources at the American Legion's 100th annual Convention and parade that will continue at the Wildwoods Convention Center through Friday.
