Things were heating up in the kitchen for local students in the South Jersey area.
On Tuesday, June 5th, students and faculty at the Creative Achievement Academy in Vineland held their 3rd annual Student Cook-Off.
Each classroom was assigned a cuisine and the students got to work creating their recipes and cooking up tasty dishes.
The dishes made during the cook-off were judged based on presentation, menu compatibility, creativity, and flavor.
Officials say the event is a fun way to teach the students how to whip up some healthy meals on their own.
