NEW JERSEY -

Drivers in New Jersey and across the country will be pleased to know that gas prices have dropped for the first time in three months.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports that motorists in South Jersey are paying an average of $2.91 for a gallon of regular gasoline, which is about a four-cent decrease since last week.

Nationally, gas prices averaged a two-cent decrease coming in at around $2.95.

Despite the good news, drivers are still paying 57-cents more than this time last year.

Analysts say crude oil prices are falling, but it likely won’t be enough to drop gas prices more significantly this summer.
