The group toured the farm's asparagus fields and packing facility to see just how Jersey Fresh produce gets to your dinner table.

During the tour, officials emphasized why shopping locally for fresh produce is so important, especially in the state of New Jersey.

"Jersey Fresh is a name that's known far and wide. In fact, it has amazing consumer acceptance and our farmers are very proud of what they produce on these farms," said Fisher.
