Women Now Hold Top Three Positions in Miss America Organization

NEW JERSEY -

Officials with the Miss America Organization are showing they're moving forward from last year's email scandal with a little girl power.

Organization representatives say they are appointing Regina Hopper as president and CEO of the Miss America Organization and Marjorie Vincent-Tripp as chairwoman of the board of the Miss America Foundation.

This places women in the three top leadership positions at the organization, including Gretchen Carlson who is leading the organization's board of trustees.

Hopper is replacing former President Sam Haskell, whose derogatory emails about former Miss Americas led to his departure and a revamping of the group's top leadership back in December.
