Officials with the Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) have officially kicked off an annual event to fight hunger in the South Jersey area.
On Friday, May 11th, leadership from the National Association of Letter Carriers, the United States Postal Service, the FBSJ, and local community officials kicked off the 26th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
The drive enables community members to support their neighbors in need by using local mail carriers to pick up essential food donations to distribute to local food banks.
Last year, Stamp Out Hunger representatives helped gather nearly 145,000 pounds of food for the FBSJ.
