Millville English Teacher Wins on 'Jeopardy'

MILLVILLE, N.J. -

Judy Tymkiw, an eighth-grade English teacher at Millville’s Lakeside Middle School appeared on the TV game show Jeopardy Wednesday night, May 9th, and won.

Tymkiw’s appearance on Jeopardy was taped in March as part of a national “Teachers Tournament,” which included 15 educators from around the country competing against each other — tournament style — for $100,000.

The pre-recorded TV event began this past Monday, May 7 and airs until Friday, May 18.

Tymkiw’s win puts her closer to the $100,000 tournament grand prize.

Tymkiw, of Fortescue, will appear again on the game show next week in the tournament semi-finals.
