The store has been a fixture on South Delsea Drive since Victor LaTorre, Sr. and his brothers John and Rocco opened in 1958.

Latorre credits the company's longevity to a "Firm commitment to customer service which my father and uncles began and I have continued. We always go the extra mile and enjoy working one-on-one with our customers recommending a new piece of equipment, showing them how to use a new tool, or whatever they may need. We have always believed customers will return if they are treated with respect, and that they will tell their friends about their positive experience."

"Small businesses like LaTorre Hardware are the backbone of our community, and It is important to recognize their contributions to the local economy," Mayor Fanucci said.

"Additionally, Victor's generous contribution of time and resources towards a variety of civic initiatives is well-known and greatly appreciated throughout the city. Best of luck to the entire LaTorre family for many years of continued success."

Council President Spinelli agreed, "LaTorre Hardware represents the heart and soul of Vineland's family-owned small businesses, who through superior customer service, have been successful despite the many challenges and competition they face from larger retailers. On behalf of the entire City Council, congratulations and best wishes for the future."
