Demolition work of a structurally dangerous building in Millville is pressing forward.
Demolition crews began tearing down the building at 109 East Main Street two weeks ago after it was discovered back in March that the building was a threat to public safety.
Route 49 (Main Street) will remain open with no restrictions as the demolition continues.
Officials say a representative from the consulting structural engineer will provide an update at the city's commission meeting on Tuesday, May 15th.
The demolition has caused quite the stir in the community as the building being demolished shares a wall with beloved Millville eatery Jim's Lunch.
Many residents are concerned about its fate.
And while the restaurant was spared, there is still no word on when or if it will reopen.
