CAMDEN, N.J. -

The City of Camden received a grant from the National Recreation and Park Association to make parks in the city more walkable for residents as part of the 10-Minute Walk campaign.

The $40,000 grant will be used to support city planning efforts that help increase access to high-quality parks within a 10-minute walk of Camden residents.

Officials say parks are a critical component of the social, environmental, and economic health of the city and added that the grant will further help them give residents the high-quality park system they deserve.
