VINELAND, N.J. -

Future women leaders from across the region are invited to register for the second annual Yes! for Girls Youth Empowerment Summit on June 2, 2018 at Cumberland County College.

Building upon the success of the inaugural conference last year, empowerment and connection will be the focus of the summit, which is a program of the Make & Move Club, a nonprofit that provides underserved youth with opportunities to build the skills needed to be successful in the 21st century and exposure to STEM career paths.

The event will feature a variety of hands on activities featuring local women leaders, who will share their experiences on climbing the ladder, overcoming challenges, setting goals, achieving success and more while working with girls in a small group setting.

“Youth that are empowered continue to create change throughout their lives,” said Nicole Wettstein, chairperson of the 2018 YES! for Girls Youth Empowerment Summit.

“The process of engaging youth and challenging them to develop skills, gain awareness, and learn from local women leaders, allows young girls to truly honor and empower themselves and one another.”

Registration is free and open to girls ages 13-19. Girls who are interested in attending can register online at yesforgirls.com. Registration includes a free event T-shirt, light refreshments and networking opportunities.

Registration is open through June 2 but must be complete by May 19, 2018.
