CAPE MAY, N.J. -

AtlantiCare, a member of Geisinger, announced that it is acquiring Cape Urgent Care in Cape May, NJ.

Following the transaction, which will take effect June 1, the facility will operate under the AtlantiCare Urgent Care Center brand.

Cape Urgent Care will join the AtlantiCare’s network of 13 urgent care facilities across southern New Jersey.

AtlantiCare will also transfer urgent care services at its Rio Grande location to the Cape May facility, allowing physicians to deliver care to more patients in the local area.

The Rio Grande facility will remain open and the existing services for primary care, specialty care and lab will remain. The relocation of the urgent care services to Cape May will allow the expansion of specialty care in the Rio Grande location

“When we met Dr. Weisberg and his team, we knew immediately that Cape Urgent Care would be an excellent addition to our group of urgent care facilities,” said Jatin Motiwal, vice president, AtlantiCare Physician Group and Regional Network.

We are thrilled to join AtlantiCare.

“Our mission has always been to provide our patients with accessible, comprehensive services so they can lead healthy lives, and this agreement will allow us to continue that mission on a larger scale. AtlantiCare is looking forward to offering expanded services to Cape May County area residents and visitors.”

“We are thrilled to join AtlantiCare,” said Dr. Weisberg, owner at Cape Urgent Care. “Cape Urgent Care has been dedicated to providing high-quality, walk-in services close to home for many years, and this integration will give us access to the resources and infrastructure needed to serve more residents and visitors in our community.”
