NEW JERSEY -

Former Governor Chris Christie's official portrait will cost taxpayers a pretty penny this time around.

Christie's portrait will cost $85,000 to be completed, which is more than taxpayers shelled out for paintings of his three predecessors combined.

Former New Jersey Governors Jon Corzine, Richard Codey and Jim McGreevey spent a combined total of just over $74,000 for their paintings.

According to reports, Christie's portrait will be painted by Australian artist Paul Newton.
