Police Seek Information on Apparent Homicide in Atlantic City

Atlantic County officials are investigating an apparent homicide after the body of a woman was discovered over the weekend.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says officers were called to 21 South Tennessee Avenue in Atlantic City at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14th.

When the officers arrived, they located 56-year-old Vernell K. Vance and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Officials say she had suffered significant blunt force head trauma, but the cause of death has not been determined at this time.
