50 Acres Burned Due to Forest Fire Near ACY

It was a scary scene for some residents in Atlantic County after a forest fire broke out over the weekend.

New Jersey Forest Fire Service crews and local firefighters responded to reports of a fire in a wooded area in Hamilton Township near the Atlantic City International Airport on Sunday, April 8th, at around 3:15 a.m.

Crews were able to contain the fire by 8 a.m.

No one was injured and no structures were damaged during the blaze.

Officials say the fire burned nearly 50 acres of land and they are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
