South Jersey, Get Ready for Your Free Tree Seedlings

OCEAN CITY, N.J. -

Eventually, it's going to start feeling like spring and what better way to get into the spirit than by planting a tree you can get for free?

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Forest Services has been giving away free tree seedlings to New Jersey residents as part of a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.

Ocean City is scheduled to give out their free trees on Monday, April 9th, at various locations throughout the city including at City Hall.

Cumberland and Atlantic counties are set to give out theirs later next week, with other pickups scheduled later this month in Gloucester and Camden counties.

If you are not a resident of a participating town, don’t worry, you can still pick up your five seedlings.
