Students in Somers Point had a special guest stop by their school on Wednesday.

Miss America 2018 Cara Mund has returned to the Jersey shore and took a trip to Saint Joesph Regional School, on Wednesday, February 28th, to hang out with students.

Mund says coming back to the place where her dream came true and being able to inspire young minds is what being Miss America is all about.

"It's so great to be back in the Atlantic City area and be able to talk to these young kids," said Mund. "This is where my dream came true, so I just want them to know if they can dream it they can become it.

"All they have to do is work hard and ... give back to your community and have that scholarship — all the aspects of Miss America and they can accomplish any dream."

During her visit, Miss America fielded questions from students and accepted an original piece of student artwork from the school's book-for-charity program.

And to make the day even better, Mund just so happened to stop by on "crazy hair day."
