COMMERCIAL TOWNSHIP, N.J. -

A therapy dog from South Jersey has set out for the biggest dog show stage in the nation.

Therapy dog Skye left for his trip to New York to compete in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which runs from Monday, February 12th to Tuesday, February 13th.

Joining him on his journey is his sister and fellow therapy dog, Hope, who is tagging along to support her brother.

The two dogs serve in Commercial Township, where they work daily with students to help them overcome anxiety, release their frustrations in a positive way, and encourage them to read.

The Westminster Dog Show is the most prestigious show in the nation and Skye is ready to strut his stuff once again in hopes of winning the title — Best of Breed — for the second year in a row.

But no matter what happens on stage, this gentle giant will always be a winner at warming the hearts of children here in South Jersey.
