Stockton Holds Atlantic City Gateway Career FairLast Edited:
Hundreds made their way to the Atlantic City Convention Center in search of their next career path on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, February 13th, Stockton University held its first Atlantic City Gateway Career Fair to give students and members of the community a chance to explore a variety of job opportunities available throughout the county.
There were more than 85 employers in attendance, including several Atlantic City casinos, and a variety of representatives from local government, healthcare, and utility service sectors.
Officials with two new Atlantic City casinos expected to open this summer — the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and the Ocean Resort Casino — were also on hand.
"I'm overwhelmed because I didn't expect this kind of turn out but it just indicates to me and to the community that the people of Atlantic City and Atlantic County want to work, they're ready to work, and they're seeking opportunities," said Brian Jackson, chief operations officer at Stockton AC Campus.
The Atlantic City Gateway Career Fair featured a variety of employment options including positions in local government, healthcare, and utility services.
Several Atlantic City casinos were also on hand including city's newest additions, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and the Ocean Resorts Casino, which are set to open this summer.
