CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.J.—Dr. Mary L. Gruccio, Superintendent of Vineland Public Schools, is a true community advocate. As a member of the Dream Foundation, United Way, Tri-County Rotary, Chamber of Commerce Economic Growth Council, Leadership Cumberland County, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and former Cumberland County Freeholder, she has stretched her efforts across the county and those efforts have not gone unnoticed.

She was recently given a contract extension as Superintendent of Vineland Public Schools after being named Superintendent of the Year by New Jersey Bilingual Educators.

She’s received numerous awards and has been inducted into the Cumberland County Women’s Hall of Fame. Dr. Gruccio is known as someone who never says no, who always focuses on collaboration, and puts children first.  She served for five years on the Governor’s Committee for Parent Involvement, and asks constantly, “How will this help our children?”
