CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.J.—The Ploch Family owns and operates Ploch Farms. John and Diane have two adult children: Ryan Ploch (VP of Ploch Farms), and Carisa Ploch Mazzoni. In 1999, their son Aaron was stricken with a virus and died at the age of 10. Aaron was a bright, fun-loving little boy who enjoyed swimming and soccer and attended St. Mary’s School. In Aaron’s honor, the Ploch Family established a scholarship that has been awarded annually to a senior high school swimmer or soccer player from area high schools (public and private).

This scholarship, along with one given to a swimmer on the Dolphin Swim Team has been given for the past 18 years. The Plochs also gives awards annually to two St. Mary’s eighth graders. About 11 years ago, the Ploch Family established a 5K Run in honor of their son Aaron. This run has generated over $140,000, which has been given to many local groups/organizations including: Big Brothers and Sisters, Dream Foundation, numerous children with special needs, families in need, and most recently Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief.
